My Very First Nuffnang Cash Out 2015

Yipee!!! After five years of being a Nuffnang member, I finally get to pick the fruit of my labor - ripe for the picking as they say. :-)  Five years??? You might wonder why it took that long before I cash out my earnings.  To be honest - it is not that easy to build readership and followers especially if you are a social media nobody or you do not have a dedicated time to build your audience.  If you really want to earn from blogging, the principle is no different from putting your time and effort as when you are an employee in a company or an actor or a businessman.  You need to work hard to earn your "salary" or your "award" and "millions".  It is much like always putting your best foot forward to be in the lead and get that coveted promotion in no time. :-)  I admit that I did not take the earning-from-blogging part too seriously because there were times when I really do not blog for some months.  Based from experienced blogger, blog content is very essential to ensure higher page rank and wide readership. Advertisers always look for that to ensure that their product will be seen by people.  Anyways, back to my Nuffnang journey,  I have enjoyed many perks from being a Nuffnang member which I shared in one of my posts as My Nuffnang Story sometime in 2011.  But there are two things which I have not experienced yet, attending a Nuffnang Blog Award and receiving that Nuffnang paycheck.  I once wrote... "Nuffnang opened a chance for me to be paid for my hard work. Although I haven’t taken this too seriously yet, (as I wasn’t as active as Hannah, Ada or Mica) but learning from other Nuffnangers who already received a huge paycheck, it was truly a career milestone.  Well, well, well…that I still have to see...."

In 2012 and 2013, I was more into exploring different places and experimenting on my personal milestone that I very seldom visit my own site.  It was in 2014 that I return to blogging and seriously resolved to make that first paycheck.

And true enough...I just had the chance to cash out my earnings this March.  Now I am looking forward to receiving that memorable paycheck sometime in April which I will gladly write about on how I will save or spend that money. **too excited**

Q and A on SSS Maternity Benefit Part 1

We have been receiving a lot of queries as regards SSS maternity benefit and unfortunately, our comment section is not behaving properly. It could have reached the maximum lines thus I am having difficulty replying to all of them promptly.  Anyways, I just picked up all our unanswered queries and post them here as Q & A.  I hope this helps.

Q. ask ko lang po kung ang last contribution ko is march 2011 and ang due date ko po is june30 2015 .possible p po ba ako na makakuha ng benefits ..? thankyou .. ---jennifer

A. No.  If June 2015 ang due date you need to have at least three months contribution from January 2014 to December 2014.

Q.  Im expecting my baby this coming February 2015. My SSS contribution is below February 2014 - 1,760
January 2014 - 1,760
March 2014 - 1,760
April 2014 - 1,760
May 2014 - 1,760
June 2014 - 1,760
July 2014 - 1,760
August 2014 - 220
September 2014 - 220
October 2014- 220

December - 220
1)How much will be my Maternity Benefit?
2) I gave birth to my 3rd baby last July 2013. Will still allow me with the maternity benefits?
Thanks -Aira
A. On # 1, your estimated mat benefit will amount to 32,000 more or less (normal delivery) . On #2 If you have not passed your mat1 and you did not satisfy the prequalifying conditions, your claim will only be denied.

A. The computation of your mat benefit depends on the number of months of contribution and amount of salary credit.  It is possible na  mas kompleto ang months of contribution mo at amount ng salary credit kaya mas malaking benefit nakuha mo noon.

A. Hi Angelica, katulad ng mga sagot ko sa iba, may hulog ka dapat ng at least 3 months contribution within the 12 month period prior to semester of contingency.

Q. Anonymous said... Gud eve po..ask ko lang po about dun s maternity benefit ko. naipsa npo ung MAT1 ko ng employer ko pero bigla po advice ng dr n magrest ako so i nid to stop working. may mkukuha po ba half maternity benefits? before manganak or talagang after giving birth lng? Tnx po
A. If employed in a company, it is advanced by the employer tsaka po nila nirereimburse sa SSS.  If you are entitled to leave with pay or  you have leave credits, hindi dapat bawasan ang maternity benefit mo. Minsan it depends on your company policy. Clarify it with your HR.

Q. hello po, im che nid ko po help nyo ask ko if mka avail pko ng maternity benefits, last n hulog ko 2012 jan to feb tig 1560 den 2014 oct 1650 nov 1540 dec 1430, if maghulog pko ng jan to march 201avail p po kya ako, due date ko march 27 2015

A. For March due date, you need to have at least 3 months contribution from October 2013 to September 2014 to qualify.  Pero kung umabot ng April ka manganak, magbabago ang semester of contingency at 12 month period to January to December 2014 ka dapat may at least 3  months contribution. If may hulog ka ng Oct to Dec 2014, there is possibility na makaavail ka if ever umabot ng April ang due date mo.

Q. Hi good evening! I woul like to ask anout filing my mat 1. At first i'm a voluntary member of SSS since Sept 2014-Nov 2014. This december i've been employed and now my SSS will be deducted on my salary. Is it possible for me to file a mat 1? I am 18weeks pregnant and my expected delivery date is on May 2015, thank you and Godbless!
A.  For employed members, the mat benefit is advanced by the employer to its employee at ang company na ang kukuha ng claim to reimburse the amount na naiadvance na sa employee. But first, check first with your HR Dept if naupdate na nila with SSS ang iyong membership category to employed.

Q. hi its my first time. nagfile ako mat 1 so bale ngstart ako work sa company March2014 and 8mos preg nako. ang sss benefit na nakuha ko lang is 17k. pero almost a yr nko naghuhulog sss. tama ba nakuha ko o maliit? kasi sabi nila ambaba. e callcenter na ko ngwwork. yung kakilala ko 1yr palang dn sya pero ang nakuha nya is 20+. pls answer.
A. Your mat benefit is computed based on your six highest monthly salary credit within the twelve month period excluding the semester of contingency.  It could be na mas mataas ang monthly salary credit ng kakilala mo kaya mas mataas ang nakuha nya mat benefit.

There goes...I hope that I provided you enlightening answers about your SSS maternity benefit concerns.  There are still many questions which I have not replied to yet from January to March 2015 because of some technical glitches.  I will again compile them all and post them here in another time.
